Senior Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to lead HSE outcomes across the Malabar System Alliance wastewater renewal program in Sydney. You will partner with construction and operational teams to ensure compliance, drive safety performance and support incident response on multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE strategy across all project sites.
• Advise senior leaders on risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct safety audits, track findings and ensure timely close‑out actions.
• Support incident response, investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Coach site teams to improve safety performance and safe behaviours.
• Review high‑risk work permits and monitor trends to enhance controls.

Required profile

• Relevant WHS qualification.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proficiency in ICAM investigation methodology.
