Senior Global Immigration Consultant

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Global Immigration Consultant to join its Global Immigration practice, part of an international network of offices and a worldwide team of People Advisory Services professionals. The position is hybrid, based in one of several Australian cities (Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Ballarat or Sydney), and may be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.

Key responsibilities

• Execute compliance services for visa applications, work permits, residence permits, extensions, short-term business traveller deployment and diagnostic reviews of immigration compliance with the Department of Home Affairs.
• Provide strategic advice to help client organisations understand and navigate immigration compliance requirements.
• Assist clients in sponsoring overseas nationals to work in their business, and represent them in matters related to sponsorships, visa refusals and cancellations.

Required profile

• Registered migration agent or legal practitioner with relevant experience in a legal or professional services environment.
• Solid knowledge of immigration fundamentals and processes.
• Ability to manage high volumes of work within tight timeframes, prioritising tasks while working independently or collaboratively.
• Passion for process-driven work, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
