Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

Engeny is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its Brisbane team. Reporting to the Discipline Leader, you will deliver geotechnical support across Australia, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical projects from inception to completion, both locally and nationally.
• Conduct geotechnical analyses, geological and geotechnical modelling, and detailed design.
• Prepare project deliverables, including technical reports, financial tracking and administrative documentation.
• Perform site investigations, supervise field work and conduct construction support inspections.
• Develop project proposals that drive innovative, practical and sustainable outcomes.
• Support client management, business development and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably within the resources sector.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• RPEQ and CPENG desirable but not mandatory.
• Experience with water infrastructure (tailings, dams) and knowledge of ANCOLD guidelines.
• Proven project management capability for medium to large projects.
• Willingness to travel to sites in Central and Northern Queensland.
