Senior Flood Modeller

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Flood Modeller to join its Perth office and support flood‑risk projects across Western Australia. You will lead end‑to‑end flood modelling packages, provide technical advice to clients and mentor junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead flood modelling studies from scoping through delivery and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on civil, water, environment, transport and planning projects.
• Engage directly with WA clients and stakeholders to deliver trusted technical advice.
• Mentor and develop junior modellers and engineers.
• Contribute to proposals and business development for WA opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in flood modelling and flood‑risk assessment, including hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
• Knowledge of Australian hydrology, ARR2019 guidelines and WA/Australian standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate modelling results into clear, actionable outcomes.
