Senior Financial Insights Analyst

About the role

Transport for NSW is recruiting a Senior Financial Insights Analyst for its Infrastructure Projects & Engineering portfolio, with a focus on the Rail Fleet. The role sits in a collaborative, high-performing finance team and uses finance and accounting skills to help build a sustainable transport network for NSW. It is based at the Macquarie Park office, under a hybrid model requiring 50% workplace presence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial reporting and insights across CAPEX and OPEX, partnering with operational leaders to drive budgeting, forecasting and performance.
• Identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions and give clear, actionable insights that support better decision-making.
• Work with stakeholders to turn complex financial information into meaningful insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or Commerce from an Australian university, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
• Extensive relevant professional experience, ideally in a complex or project-based environment such as infrastructure, construction, engineering, mining or another capital-intensive organisation.
• Full professional membership (or actively progressing toward it) with CPA Australia, CA ANZ or an equivalent.
• Experience across budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis.
