Senior Finance Analyst

About the role

A large, growing and highly reputable company based in Sydney CBD is hiring a Senior Finance Analyst for its commercial finance team. The role delivers sales analysis, reporting and data insights that support business decisions, and calls for someone who can automate processes, build financial models and help with strategic initiatives. It is a permanent, full-time office-based position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all sales-related reporting, data analysis and board packs
• Assist the Head of FP&A with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
• Lead month-end commentary reporting and reviews
• Develop internal business reports, templates and specifications
• Provide financial and data analysis to improve the efficiency of data collection
• Lead the development of financial assumptions and calculations based on business initiatives
• Support the Commercial Finance team and other stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), preferably in Finance, Commerce or Economics
• CA/CPA qualified or studying towards it
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role or FP&A environment (budget and forecast modelling and reporting)
