Senior Field Technician I - Darwin

About the role

nbn is looking for candidates based in the Darwin area, including those with a trade, technical or hands-on background who may be considering a career change. You will be developed internally into a Customer Field Technician. The role is hands-on and customer-facing, helping connect homes and communities, and is a permanent, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Work independently on customer service field tasks across a range of nbn technologies
• Install copper and fibre cabling and complete customer premises equipment installations
• Diagnose and repair faults
• Provide a high level of customer service, mainly in homes and business premises
• Work between 8am and 5pm, with flexibility depending on business needs

Required profile

• No previous telecommunications experience required; technical skills are taught on the job
• Background in a trade, hands-on technical role or customer-focused environment is valued (plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, construction, civils, manufacturing)
• Comfortable working independently, managing time and delivering quality work
• Strong communication skills and a current, clean driver's licence
• Full working rights in Australia
