Senior Exploration Field Supervisor (8:6 FIFO from Perth)

About the role

Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia, which is expanding underground. Reporting to the Exploration Manager, the Senior Exploration Field Supervisor leads the safe and efficient delivery of gold exploration and resource definition drilling programs. Working on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, the supervisor oversees drilling support, earthworks, access, sampling and rehabilitation, works closely with geologists and manages contractors, safety, environmental and heritage compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise exploration field crews and contractors across drilling, sampling, earthworks and rehabilitation, maintaining a strong safety culture
• Coordinate personnel, equipment, vehicles and contractor mobilisation, and ensure inductions, documentation and risk assessments are completed
• Maintain accurate field records, track progress and report on performance, risks and operational constraints
• Manage sample handling, security and dispatch, keeping chain-of-custody standards
• Support the establishment and operation of remote field camps, including logistics, communications, supplies and emergency readiness

Required profile

• Extensive experience in exploration field operations, including drilling, sampling and QA/QC
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with experience managing contractors, field logistics and core yard operations
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, remote field safety, earthworks, rehabilitation and heritage compliance
• Unrestricted C Class Manual Driver's Licence; Schedule 26 (Statutory Supervisor) qualification
• LR/MR/HR driver's licence and forklift licence highly regarded

Required skills

• Knowledge of RC, AC and diamond drilling programs, remote area operations, GIS and field data capture systems is advantageous
