Senior Estimator

About the role

Laing O'Rourke, a privately owned global engineering and manufacturing-led construction group, is looking for a Senior Estimator in Adelaide. The role involves preparing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates and tender submissions for major projects, and mentoring junior estimators.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates and tender submissions for major projects.
• Monitor market pricing, industry trends and innovative construction methodologies to support competitive bids.
• Provide technical estimating expertise and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver timely, high-quality estimates.
• Lead, mentor and develop estimators and support team members to build capability and performance.
• Support project handover by providing clear commercial documentation and cost information to delivery teams.
• Assist with Bill of Quantities allocation and cost planning to support project controls.
• Promote and maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental and wellbeing requirements.

Required profile

• Advanced experience in the construction industry.
• Relevant qualifications.

Required skills

• Ability to work with main business packages such as COINS, Site Manager and Team Binder.
