Senior Emergency Department Registrar – Regional Victoria

About the role

The Emergency Department of a busy ACEM‑accredited regional referral hospital is seeking an experienced Senior Registrar, Advanced Trainee or SMO to take on a senior leadership position. You will work in a dynamic, high‑acuity environment with a supportive consultant team and well‑structured junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the ED team during periods as doctor in charge, ensuring safe and efficient patient flow.
• Provide expert clinical assessment and management across a broad range of emergency presentations.
• Mentor and supervise junior doctors and trainees.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain high standards of care.
• Participate in quality improvement and departmental initiatives.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration or eligibility.
• Experience as a Senior ED Registrar, Advanced Trainee, or experienced SMO.
• Willingness to work in a regional Victorian setting.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.
