Senior Electrical Project Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

SUEZ is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead the electrical scope of a major infrastructure project located at Naval Base, Perth. Reporting to the Project Manager or Head of PMO, you will provide technical leadership across design, construction, installation, commissioning and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate electrical designs, drawings, schematics, control systems and layout documents.
• Provide technical guidance during installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Supervise subcontractors, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards and Australian Standards.
• Manage electrical quality‑assurance processes, including inspections, testing documentation and compliance reporting.
• Support risk, change and cost management while solving technical problems.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with project teams, suppliers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in large‑scale infrastructure or utility projects.
• Proven ability to lead electrical engineering activities from concept through handover.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and project delivery processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
