Senior Electrical Engineer – Secondary Systems

About the role

Entura is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of secondary systems for high‑voltage (HV) and extra‑high‑voltage (EHV) installations across substations, power stations and other electrical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and install EHV/HV protection and control systems for a range of clients including utilities and renewable developers.
• Deliver day‑to‑day project engagements, both individually and as part of the Grid and Power team.
• Provide professional advice and mentorship on secondary systems design and related technical areas.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in secondary systems design for HV/EHV installations.
• Experience in both brownfield and greenfield projects covering protection, control, metering and SCADA.
• Background working on electrical utility projects and in consultancy environments.
• Familiarity with protection relay configuration and fault analysis software (e.g., PowerFactory, Aspen).
• Experience with hybrid off‑grid generation assets and detailed power system knowledge.
• High‑level project management skills and knowledge of Australian and IEC standards.
