Senior Electrical Engineer – Mining & Resources

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Mining & Resources team in Brisbane. You will support a major oil and gas client by delivering and maintaining critical gas field infrastructure, working collaboratively across disciplines to achieve sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for clients and internal stakeholders on electrical works for a major oil and gas portfolio.
• Lead and supervise electrical engineering project teams, providing clear technical direction.
• Build strong client relationships and guide projects from concept through implementation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to resolve technical challenges.
• Mentor and manage engineers locally and in remote locations.
• Oversee project progress, expenditure, and performance outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and uphold best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in low‑voltage (LV) and high‑voltage (HV) electrical engineering.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and lead engineering teams.
• Demonstrated track record of managing projects in line with client policies and specifications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to see the big picture and challenge assumptions.
