Senior Developer – IT Systems & Digital Solutions

About the role

QLeave is looking for an experienced Senior Developer to join its Information Technology and Innovation team in Brisbane’s North. The role will focus on designing, building and enhancing the agency’s digital services that support portable long‑service‑leave schemes. You will work in a flexible, permanent position and help shape the future of QLeave’s technology landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and coding to testing, debugging and documentation.
• Develop and maintain React‑based web portals and .NET services hosted on Microsoft Azure.
• Contribute to the definition and adoption of DevOps practices and secure software development standards.
• Translate business requirements, functional specifications and user stories into detailed technical designs.
• Produce and maintain architecture and design documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex software solutions in a secure SDLC environment.
• Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
