About the role
A recruitment specialist is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead a small project moving a data warehouse from Azure to AWS for a major enterprise client. The work is based in Melbourne CBD, with three days in the office, and starts in January. The initial engagement is three months, with a possible extension.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and understand the current Azure architecture and how the existing warehouse is structured.
- Design the transition into the client's broader AWS environment.
- Carry out detailed data mapping and configure the solution across all layers.
- Ensure a smooth and accurate migration into the new platform.
Required profile
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Proven experience working in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with DBT, Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
