Senior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will join Linde Material Handling’s global Cyber Defense Centre, based in Huntingwood, NSW. This hybrid position (office Tuesdays and Wednesdays) focuses on improving and maintaining long‑term security for the KION Group worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead incident response (CSIRT) and vulnerability analysis across a global environment.
• Deploy, configure and leverage SIEM for security use cases and manage cyber security incidents.
• Develop and maintain SOAR playbooks, automate security incidents and support an automated SOC operation.
• Create detection methods for cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and apply big‑data and machine‑learning techniques to develop use cases.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to ensure 24/7 security coverage for the KION Group.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or cyber security.
• Advanced programming knowledge in Python and Java.
• Solid experience with SIEM and familiarity with SOAR products.
• Strong understanding of firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning, forensic analysis and threat hunting.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work on‑call or after‑hours as needed.
