Offensive Security Tester

About the role

The Offensive Security Tester will strengthen nbn’s cyber security posture by delivering penetration testing, threat simulations, and red‑/purple‑team engagements across a wide range of technologies and environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on offensive security assessments, including penetration tests and threat simulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to communicate findings and provide actionable remediation guidance.
• Contribute to team capability growth by mentoring interns and graduate testers.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in offensive security and penetration testing within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning, adaptability and inclusive team culture.

Required skills

• Penetration testing and threat simulation techniques.
• Red‑team and purple‑team engagement experience.
• Security assessment automation and familiarity with security frameworks.
• Industry‑recognised offensive security certifications (e.g., Offsec, HTB, SANS).
