Senior Cyber Defense Analyst

About the role

Kyndryl’s Security & Resiliency practice is looking for a Senior Cyber Defense Analyst to investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, perform threat hunting, and enhance detection capabilities across enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to security incidents end‑to‑end, from alert triage to remediation.
• Conduct threat hunting and digital forensic investigations using SIEM and endpoint tools.
• Develop, tune, and optimize threat detections and security queries.
• Leverage threat intelligence to identify and mitigate emerging threats.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation (approximately one Saturday per month).

Required profile

• Proven experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or cyber defense.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills with a growth mindset and customer focus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, Elastic, or LogRhythm.
• Experience in detection engineering, threat hunting, and leveraging threat intelligence.
• Knowledge of digital forensics techniques for endpoint and network incidents.
• Scripting or programming skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Familiarity with Palo Alto XDR is a plus.
