Senior Credit Risk Executive - Private Bank

About the role

The Senior Credit Risk Executive works in Private Bank Credit Risk, supporting some of the bank's most sophisticated clients and complex transactions. The role applies deep credit expertise across Private, Business and Corporate Banking, assessing complex lending structures and giving independent risk insight. It sits alongside Private Bankers and key stakeholders, providing independent Line 2 credit risk oversight and decisioning.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and approve complex credit transactions within delegated authority
• Recommend larger and more complex exposures to senior credit authorities
• Analyse customer structures such as companies, trusts, family groups and investment vehicles
• Assess lending across residential and commercial property, operating businesses and investment portfolios
• Identify underlying risks, structural weaknesses and downside scenarios
• Challenge credit proposals independently while keeping a commercial mindset
• Present and defend credit recommendations to senior risk forums and decision-makers
• Advise on credit policy, risk appetite, servicing, security structures and risk mitigants
• Coach and support colleagues to build credit capability across the business

Required profile

• Significant credit risk experience in banking and financial services
• Experience assessing complex lending transactions and large credit exposures
• Exposure to both Business/Corporate Banking and Retail or Private Banking credit environments
• Ability to work with sophisticated customer structures and high-net-worth clients
• Confidence to exercise sound judgement and make balanced risk decisions
• Stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior audiences
• Collaborative approach and a passion for coaching others

Required skills

• Advanced credit analysis, cash flow assessment and risk evaluation
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
