Senior Conveyancer - Developer Off-the-Plan

About the role

GRM LAW, a boutique commercial law firm specialising in property, corporate, banking and finance matters, is looking for an experienced Queensland conveyancer to run conventional and developer off-the-plan sales programs and private development transactions end-to-end. The role covers contracts, disclosure, PEXA settlements and registration across a high-volume pipeline, under partner supervision, and is based in Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Run conventional conveyancing matters and off-the-plan sales programs for developer clients, covering contracts, disclosure, pipeline and settlements.
• Handle private development transactions: acquisitions and disposals, subdivision and survey-plan registration.
• Draft and review contracts of sale and special conditions, including REIQ and bespoke developer contracts.
• Manage settlements end-to-end through PEXA, including searches, adjustments and requisitions.
• Manage disclosure, sunset dates, variations and deposits across a busy pipeline.
• Liaise with developers, agents, financiers and the other side through to registration.

Required profile

• Solid experience as a conveyancer in a Queensland practice, running files end-to-end.
• Hands-on off-the-plan and developer/sell-side conveyancing experience.
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to keep a high-volume pipeline on track.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Queensland conveyancing: REIQ contracts, the Property Occupations Act, the BCCM Act, Land Sales Act provisions and titles practice.
• Proficiency with PEXA; familiarity with Smokeball and InfoTrack is a plus.
