About the role
Join Arup’s Resilience, Security & Risk team to lead high‑impact projects in fire risk, dangerous goods and process safety across Australia, New Zealand and the wider APAC region. As a Senior Consultant you will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and deliver risk‑based engineering solutions that enhance safety and resilience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver technically excellent Risk & Process Safety projects across fire risk, dangerous goods and process safety disciplines.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, collaborate with internal specialists, external design partners and clients to achieve integrated outcomes.
- Prepare, review and sign off complex technical reports, compliance assessments, risk assessments and engineering documentation.
- Manage projects from proposal through delivery, ensuring quality, budget and timeline objectives are met.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering (Fire Safety, Chemical or Mechanical preferred) with Chartered registration.
- Significant industry experience in fire risk, dangerous goods, process safety or a closely related risk‑based engineering discipline.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Proven leadership, project management and mentoring capabilities.
