Associate Production Manager (Expression of Interest)

About the role

The Associate Production Manager (APM) will support production coordinators and assistants to ensure smooth, efficient, and on‑schedule delivery of visual effects projects at ILM Sydney. This is an expression of interest posting for future hiring.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and track show schedules, milestones, and artist workflows using ShotGrid.
• Mentor and delegate tasks to Production Coordinators and Assistants while coordinating with discipline leads.
• Partner with Producers and Production Managers to bid work, manage external vendor schedules and budgets.
• Serve as liaison between Production, Editorial, and cross‑site teams to manage resources and updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in a VFX production environment.
• Strong time‑management, organisational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Art, Drama or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to travel, work overtime, and assist on set as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Mac, PC, and UNIX environments.
• Experience using MS Office and ShotGrid for production tracking.
• Ability to run reviews and execute basic troubleshooting scripts.
