Senior Consultant - Corporate Tax

About the role

EY's Corporate Tax team in Perth is growing and is looking for a Senior Consultant to work across corporate tax compliance and advisory matters. You will work with leading clients on complex, high-value matters, supported by experienced leaders and specialists, and you will supervise and mentor the team.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage taxation services for an allocated book of corporate clients, overseeing day-to-day operations, corporate income tax compliance and the preparation and review of income tax returns and tax accounting calculations.
• Deliver corporate taxation advisory services and support senior team members on complex engagements such as ATO risk reviews, audits and ruling application processes.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, collaborating with specialist teams on international tax and transfer pricing, tax controversy and transactions.
• Supervise and mentor senior consultants, consultants and graduates, acting as a counsellor for juniors and helping build a positive, high-performing team culture.

Required profile

• Strong experience in the Australian taxation system, ideally in professional services, including corporate income tax compliance calculations, processes and ATO lodgement obligations.
• CA qualification or equivalent, or other postgraduate study such as a Tax Masters.
• Technical knowledge of IFRS and tax accounting is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience in real estate, infrastructure or trusts is advantageous but not essential.
