Senior Consultant - Aerospace & Defense

About the role

IFS Australia is seeking a Senior Aerospace & Defense Application Consultant to join its team. You will work at the forefront of IFS product implementations, directly with IFS customers and partners on cutting-edge industry solutions in the aerospace and defense sector. The role involves working with geographically distributed teams around the globe, giving international exposure through project implementation and commercial execution.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers to improve their business through a deep understanding of the core IFS solution and industry accelerators.
• Understand the customer's aerospace and defense business, industry and local asset, service and maintenance practices and policies.
• Act as a trusted advisor, articulating and critically evaluating customer-specific business solutions.
• Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.
• Lead and own the solution definition and scope for the aerospace and defense portion of the IFS solution.
• Bridge the gap between customer business requirements and IFS products, and guide customers in the most effective use of IFS products.
• Conduct customer training sessions and workshops, and assist with testing and go-live cut-over strategies.
• Keep up to date with regulatory and compliance requirements of the aerospace and defense domain.
• Manage, coach and mentor IFS colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvement of IFS products, processes and methodology.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience delivering aerospace and defense solutions in a similar role.
• Proven ability to lead and influence teams, colleagues, customers and partners.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written.
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally.
• Desirable: knowledge of IFS product implementations, cloud-based implementations, and security clearances for aerospace and defense work.
