Senior Configuration Management Analyst

About the role

Saab Australia is seeking a Senior Configuration Management Analyst to deliver engineering Configuration Management, document control, and data management services for the Land Capability Program. The role works closely with project and engineering teams to ensure baselines, technical data, and documentation are accurately managed throughout the program lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Configuration Management Plan.
• Coordinate change control activities and prepare approval documentation for review boards.
• Assess impact of proposed changes on system and capability outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement of Configuration Management frameworks and processes.
• Promote best practices in baseline management, change control, and deviation management.
• Assist Project and Engineering Managers in establishing and maintaining project baselines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in Configuration Management roles.
• Defence industry experience in project‑based or product engineering environments.
• Proven ability to liaise effectively with internal customers.
• Ability to manage multiple demands and meet deadlines.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for NV1 Defence Security Clearance.

Required skills

• Experience with specialist configuration management tools and/or engineering data management systems.
• Experience creating process documentation and workflows.
