Senior Communications Specialist

About the role

Kinetic IT is looking for a Senior Communications Specialist to support communications within the company. The role combines a holistic and operational focus, working closely with executives and key internal stakeholders to advise on, develop and implement communication strategies, plans and collateral that engage and align the workforce. It uses enterprise messaging channels, platforms and physical engagement opportunities to connect crew to the company's purpose, direction, performance and outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the internal communications strategy, linking crew to business strategy, priorities and key messages
• Own the annual internal communications agenda, including corporate and account Town Halls, roadshows, corporate updates, crew feedback and key dates
• Partner with Account Directors and stakeholders to understand communication needs and build trusted relationships
• Develop communications for key projects, initiatives, campaigns and stakeholder activities
• Create, curate and distribute content across internal channels such as Viva Engage, SharePoint and PowerPoint
• Support Town Halls by developing presentations and key messages
• Strengthen communication capability, consistency and accountability with senior leaders
• Manage communications during critical incidents with timely, clear and consistent messaging
• Collaborate with the business and external partners on communications, events, marketing and brand initiatives
• Measure and improve communication impact using data on channel reach, engagement and effectiveness

Required profile

• Proven track record in a communications role
• Experience understanding strategy from a business-wide lens as well as an operational one
• Extensive presentation skills
• Stakeholder management up to C-suite level
• Understanding of both strategy and operational communications support
