Senior Cleaner - Aged Care

About the role

Aegis Aged Care is looking for a reliable and flexible Senior Cleaner to perform cleaning shifts at Aegis Hilton Park, an ageing-in-place facility for 136 residents across five wings offering high and low care, including specialist dementia care in the Blackwood wing. The position is full time, Monday to Friday during weeks 1 and 2, and suits someone wanting regular work with a set schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide facility cleaning to a high aged-care standard.
• Use equipment and chemicals in line with training.
• Provide a clean and homely environment for residents.
• Lead the cleaning team in a positive and safe way, mentor and encourage them, and assist with onboarding of new cleaners.
• Liaise between the Facility Manager and the cleaning team.

Required profile

• Supervisor or supervisory role in a health care setting.
• Extensive cleaning experience in a health care setting, including supervising cleaning staff in aged care or a similar environment.
• Ability to work within a team and independently; proactive, solution-driven and reliable.
• High attention to cleaning detail and knowledge of infection control principles.
• High level of English, verbal and written.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia and ability to pass a national police clearance.
