Senior Civil Engineer - Water Infrastructure

About the role

AECOM is expanding its Water Infrastructure Team in Victoria after significant contract awards in its ANZ Water business, and is looking for proven civil engineers. The group serves internal and external clients on water and wastewater treatment, dams, asset management, major conveyance, industrial, civil infrastructure, mining and defence projects, with a focus on sustainable outcomes. Mentoring and guidance from industry experts is available, and you will work with colleagues from interstate and international offices.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design of water infrastructure projects such as networks and wastewater treatment plant upgrades and renewals
• Take part in coordinating, managing and completing projects from inception, including bidding, concept design, detailed design, tendering and construction phase support
• Ensure quality assurance processes are followed, delivering projects on time and within budget
• Build relationships with clients and local, regional and global AECOM colleagues in multidisciplinary teams
• Where needed, support design coordination and project delivery, with opportunities to develop skills in Design Management

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification and RPEV / CPEng (or working towards or eligible for registration)
• Demonstrated experience on water and/or wastewater projects, including networks and wastewater treatment plant upgrades and renewals, in a consulting and design environment
• Interest in mentoring, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of applicable Australian codes and standards
• Passion for high-quality work and strong client and stakeholder engagement
