Senior Civil Designer

About the role

Senior/Principal Civil Designer needed for development and civil infrastructure projects within the Sunshine Coast engineering team. You will work with engineers and designers on a varied project pipeline, delivering accurate design solutions that meet client and authority expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver civil design and drafting documentation for land development and transport infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and design efficiency.
• Undertake design and documentation using 12D and AutoCAD software.
• Apply Australian standards, local government requirements, and Austroads guidelines.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design practices and project outcomes.
• Assist with construction documents, specifications and address construction phase queries.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years experience in civil design and drafting, preferably in a consultancy environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
• Effective communication and professional approach.
• Proactive attitude with commitment to continuous learning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in 12D (including Network Editor).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Civil design drawing production.
