Senior Civil Designer

About the role

The client, a growing engineering consultancy, is seeking a highly organised and proactive Senior Civil Designer for their Brisbane office. Reporting to the Queensland Manager, you will own design delivery, build strong client relationships and support the growth of the Queensland team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all design aspects of projects, delivering on time and to standard.
• Produce detailed designs and documentation using 12D and AutoCAD.
• Engage regularly with key clients and stakeholders.
• Apply a sound understanding of safety in design practices and processes.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering or equivalent.
• 7 to 10 years’ industry experience (desirable).
• Drainage experience (desirable).
• Proficiency in 12D and AutoCAD.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in report writing.
• Track record of leading and delivering multiple projects.
• Excellent knowledge of the Queensland market, Australian Standards and Council design standards.
• Good understanding of Service Authority design approval and construction standards.
