Senior Business Systems Analyst

About the role

Medibank is hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst for its ahm and OSHC Applications Development team. You will analyse business requirements, design system solutions and lead the delivery of projects, enhancements and platform changes, working with stakeholders across the organisation and mentoring team members.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and system requirements with business and technology stakeholders
• Develop functional specifications and solution designs for development teams
• Run workshops, requirements sessions, feasibility assessments and solution discussions
• Work with project teams, vendors and technology teams to meet business needs and privacy, security and architectural standards
• Manage stakeholder engagement, give regular status updates and track milestones
• Support the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and implementation
• Support System, Integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect validation and test reviews, with shift-left practices
• Improve processes, systems and ways of working, and mentor team members on Business Analysis and Agile delivery
• Plan and run delivery and agile cadences

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst or similar in application delivery teams, ideally in a highly regulated environment such as finance
• Experience leading development outcomes and coordinating internal and external delivery resources
• Experience in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methods
• Hands-on experience supporting testing and debugging issues with tools such as Splunk

Required skills

• Requirements elicitation, process improvement, solution design and documentation
• Understanding of software development, system integrations, APIs and technical delivery
• Tools: Postman/SOAPUI for APIs, database query tools, Splunk, JIRA and Confluence
• Strong stakeholder management and communication with business and technical audiences
