Product Owner - Tech Resilience, Recoverability & Emerging Risk

About the role

Medibank is looking for a Product Owner for Tech Resilience, Recoverability and Emerging Risk within its Enterprise Technology Services team. You will help shape how the organisation prepares for, responds to and recovers from technology disruptions, working across technology, risk, cyber security and architecture teams. The role reports to the Squad Lead and offers hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the technology resilience and recoverability roadmap across Enterprise Technology Services.
• Define resilience standards, measures and practices that support business continuity and regulatory requirements.
• Drive recoverability improvements across cloud platforms, workplace technologies, network services, software applications and supporting infrastructure.
• Embed resilience thinking into technology design, engineering and operational processes.
• Coordinate recovery testing and validate readiness of critical services.
• Assess platforms and services to identify dependencies, weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Develop reporting and insights on resilience risks and readiness for leaders.
• Monitor emerging technology, industry and external risk trends.
• Partner with architecture, cyber security, engineering and risk teams, and review supplier resilience capabilities.

Required profile

• Experience as a Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst or similar role delivering outcomes in complex technology environments.
• Understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery or operational resilience principles.
• Able to identify risks, analyse dependencies and turn complex information into practical recommendations.
• Comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Enterprise technologies such as cloud platforms, infrastructure, networking, digital workplace technologies or service management environments.
• Ability to balance innovation, customer outcomes and risk in decision-making.
