Senior BMS Project Engineer

About the role

A global building technologies company is seeking an experienced Senior BMS Engineer to join its NSW Service Team, based in Macquarie Park with onsite parking. The role delivers engineering and installation solutions across a wide portfolio of Building Management and Control Systems (BMCS) projects, covering design, programming, testing, commissioning and support of new and existing building automation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project design documentation, including point lists, system and equipment schedules and technical drawings
• Design, develop and implement control strategies and software programming for Johnson Controls and third-party systems
• Run software testing and commissioning to meet customer requirements and quality standards
• Design graphical user interfaces for new and existing BMS installations
• Troubleshoot complex system and software issues and guide customers and internal teams
• Work with Project Managers on delivery, scope and project profitability
• Support the sales process with technical reviews and engineering advice during bids and proposals
• Mentor junior engineers, technicians and apprentices

Required profile

• 5+ years in a BMS/BMCS or controls engineering role
• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Experience delivering commercial building projects across installation, upgrades and service environments
• Experience in commercial HVAC environments and exposure to digital building technologies, analytics and smart building solutions

• Programming, commissioning and troubleshooting of BMS solutions
• HVAC controls and building automation systems
• IT infrastructure, networking and server environments
• Microsoft Office, including Project, Excel and PowerPoint
