BMS Project Engineer

About the role

The BMS Project Engineer will provide engineering and installation solutions for the NSW Service team of Johnson Controls. Based in Macquarie Park, this permanent full‑time role focuses on delivering compliant Building Management and Control Systems (BMCS) for large construction, fit‑out and expansion projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production of project design documents, including points lists, system and equipment schedules, and drawings.
• Design and implement control programming and graphical user interfaces for new and existing installations.
• Ensure software testing meets customer specifications and Quality Assurance requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers to improve project financials and scope delivery.
• Provide technical solutions for complex system issues and support junior engineers and technicians.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in a similar BMS engineering role.
• BEng or related technical qualification.
• High‑level knowledge of HVAC controls products and services.
• Strong understanding of IT and server environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• HVAC control systems programming.
• Graphical user interface design for BMS.
• Microsoft Windows applications: MS Projects, PowerPoint, Excel, Access.
• IT/server environment knowledge.
