Senior BDM / Specification, Architectural Coatings

About the role

A premium European manufacturer of architectural coatings, renders and facade systems is recruiting a senior BDM / Specification representative in Melbourne. The role is full-time and focuses on winning specifications for render, coatings and facade systems with architects and designers, then holding them through builders and applicators on commercial projects. The candidate runs their own territory and reports to the National Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Get in early with architects and designers and win the specification for render, coatings and facade systems
• Hold the specification through the builder and the applicator until it reaches the wall
• Manage customers including architects and designers, builders, applicators and commercial clients
• Run your own territory and week, reporting to the National Sales Manager

Required profile

• Specification or technical sales experience in architectural coatings, render, facades, cladding or similar external building products
• Comfortable speaking to architects as well as builders and applicators
• Senior enough to run a territory independently
• Understanding of how a facade specification is won and kept alive through to the wall

What we offer

• Base salary of $120,000 to $140,000 plus superannuation
• Car allowance or a fully maintained company vehicle
• Commission on top
