Senior Banking Consultant – Rockhampton

About the role

The Senior Banking Consultant will work on the Rockhampton branch of ANZ, delivering personalised banking solutions to customers throughout their home‑buying journey. You will engage directly with clients, understand their financial needs and guide them through loan, insurance and investment options.

Key responsibilities

• Act as an initiator and role model for ANZ products and services.
• Support the Branch Manager in executing ANZ’s retail strategy and daily branch operations.
• Provide customers with home loan, insurance, investment and transactional solutions.
• Maintain a thorough “know your customer” approach from a risk perspective.
• Deliver a relationship‑focused, customer‑centric experience that addresses the full spectrum of financial needs.
• Assist junior staff with complex enquiries and mentor them where appropriate.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience building strong relationships in a customer‑focused environment.
• Significant background in financial services, preferably retail banking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Leadership and coaching capabilities.
• Adaptability to multitask and thrive in changing, ambiguous situations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with banking technology platforms and digital tools.
