Loan Processing Specialist – Australian Mortgage

Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the loan process, managing calls, emails, voicemails and general enquiries while ensuring timely handling.
- Conduct a detailed quality check of loan files prepared by analysts, identifying discrepancies, missing information or potential issues before submission.
- Cross‑check loan package information with ApplyOnline, correct any inconsistencies and complete the application submission within required service levels.
- Verify supporting documentation such as payslips, bank statements, savings evidence and liability documents against lender requirements and checklists, redacting sensitive information where needed.
- Review customer‑signed documents to confirm compliance with lender and regulatory requirements, maintaining documentation standards and removing confidential data before forwarding to lenders.
- Monitor and act on Missing Information Requests (MIRs) from lenders or assessors, assess applicability before requesting additional client documentation and communicate outstanding requirements promptly.
- Maintain oversight of application milestones, priorities and time‑sensitive activities, ensuring emails, tasks, finance clause dates, settlement deadlines and lender service‑level requirements are addressed on time.
- Provide clear, professional assistance to clients throughout the loan journey, keeping them informed about progress, outstanding requirements, expected timeframes and upcoming steps while handling concerns appropriately.
- Accurately record client interactions, updates, calls, emails and significant file activities in the CRM, maintaining clear and current records for team visibility.
- Coordinate communication between clients, lenders, assessors, solicitors and other relevant parties, following up with banks on progress, clarifying outstanding requirements and assisting with matters affecting the loan or settlement process.
- Take ownership of settlement arrangements, working with lenders, clients, solicitors and other stakeholders to ensure settlement is scheduled and completed in line with the agreed contractual date.
