Senior Auditor – Melbourne

About the role

BDO is seeking a Senior Auditor to join its Melbourne audit team. You will work on a diverse client base, including listed private and not‑for‑profit organisations, and help deliver high‑quality audit engagements across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the execution of audits for a range of organisations, identifying risks and shaping the audit approach.
• Oversee junior team members, providing coaching and ensuring audit work is completed on time.
• Develop and document understanding of client processes, internal controls and governance matters.
• Prepare client‑facing documents such as audit reports and management representation letters.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of external audit experience in a professional services firm.
• CA or CPA qualification (or working towards).
• Strong communication, attention to detail and ability to work effectively within a team.

Required skills

• External audit methodology and risk assessment.
• Understanding of internal controls and governance frameworks.
