Senior Auditor – Cairns & Townsville

About the role

BDO Australia is seeking proactive, highly motivated Senior Auditors to join its Cairns and Townsville offices. You will work closely with Partners and Managers to deliver high‑quality audit services across a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key components of audit engagements and ensure quality and efficiency.
• Foster strong client relationships and contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes.
• Apply professional judgement and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Support the development of a high‑performing audit team.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Business/Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience in a similar audit role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Self‑starter with detail‑oriented approach and ability to manage own workflow.
• Professionalism, confidentiality and discretion.

Required skills

• Strong IT and computer skills; ability to embrace new technology.
