Senior Audit Professional – Hybrid, Sydney

About the role

We are partnering with a respected audit and advisory firm in Sydney to hire a Senior Auditor. This hybrid position offers the chance to lead audit engagements, deepen client relationships, and mentor junior staff while advancing your career.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Plan and coordinate audit assignments, ensuring timely fieldwork.
• Review and finalise audit work to a high standard.
• Identify audit, engagement, ethical and regulatory risks.
• Serve as a primary contact for clients, building strong relationships.
• Support, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Stay current with changes in audit standards and methodology.

Required profile

• Approximately 3+ years of external audit experience in a public practice or accounting firm.
• Recently completed or close to completing a CA qualification.
• Strong technical audit knowledge and familiarity with Australian reporting requirements.
• Proven experience planning audits, identifying risks and managing fieldwork.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
