Senior Audit Lead – Wholesale Credit

About the role

The Senior Audit Lead – Wholesale Credit provides independent third‑line assurance over wholesale credit risk for ANZ. Reporting to the Audit Director – Credit Risk & Models, the role plans and executes complex audit engagements aligned with the Internal Audit plan, delivering evidence‑based conclusions on governance, risk management and control effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex, high‑risk audit engagements across the Credit Risk Centre of Audit.
• Apply subject‑matter wholesale credit risk judgement to assess governance, risk frameworks, oversight and control effectiveness.
• Manage audit delivery against timelines and budgets, ensuring disciplined execution and timely escalation of risks.
• Provide strong issue follow‑up, validation readiness and robust reporting.
• Contribute to annual audit planning by identifying key risk themes, regulatory priorities and emerging issues.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in audit and wholesale credit risk.
• Ability to work collaboratively with audit teams and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills in credit risk assessment.
