Senior Associate / Special Counsel - Property & Commercial Law

About the role

A boutique Brisbane CBD firm with over 20 years of experience in commercial property and business law is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel in Property & Commercial Law. The role sits within a leadership position, working across commercial property, strata and corporate matters, and offers full-time or part-time flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Handle commercial property transactions (shopping centres, commercial buildings)
• Manage strata titling and property development projects
• Advise on business sales and purchases, shareholder agreements and corporate restructuring
• Deal with commercial contracts and franchising matters
• Mentor junior lawyers and manage complex files
• Communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients

Required profile

• 7+ years of private practice experience in commercial property and/or commercial law, contracts and strata
• Prior experience with business transactions, leases, strata titling and corporate restructuring
• Ability to manage clients confidently and autonomously
• Commercially astute and culturally aware approach
• Mandarin or Cantonese is highly regarded but not essential
