Senior Associate / Special Counsel – Litigation (Melbourne)

About the role

Hamilton Locke is seeking a commercially astute Litigation Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its high‑performing national disputes team in Melbourne. You will work closely with senior leaders on complex, high‑value matters within a collaborative, mentorship‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Litigate complex contractual and commercial claims, including infrastructure and construction disputes.
• Handle insolvency, restructuring, shareholder oppression, partnership, and regulatory investigations.
• Advise boards and officers on corporate governance, risk analysis, and joint‑venture, M&A, and financial services disputes.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years’ experience as a lawyer with a strong litigation background.
• Demonstrated interest in disputes, investigations, and regulatory matters.
• Collaborative, proactive approach with ability to manage competing priorities.
