Senior-Associate Hydraulic & Fire Engineer

About the role

A global building services consultancy, which has been carbon neutral and a One Planet Living company for over 40 years, is looking for an experienced, client-focused Hydraulic Engineer to join its Building Services team in Sydney. The role covers the management and design and delivery of hydraulic and fire protection services for new and existing buildings. Experience in fire protection, wet and dry fire, is highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver hydraulic and fire protection services for new and existing buildings
• Apply innovative design processes and liaise with authorities
• Coordinate hydraulics design with other engineering disciplines
• Produce reports for the client and stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry requirements
• Monitor the timeframe for completion of works
• Manage, motivate and inspire less experienced engineers

Required profile

• Degree-level education in Engineering with sound knowledge of hydraulics and fire protection systems
• Experience across sectors such as infrastructure, commercial, education, retail, industrial and critical systems
• Local experience is essential
• Knowledge of facilities management operations, maintenance procedures, local authority requirements and infrastructure requirements
• Desirable: experience with business development, client engagement and project management/leadership

Required skills

• Prior experience or understanding of REVIT/BIM delivery
• Excellent communication and project management skills
