About the role
A leading Building Services Design Consultancy in Sydney is looking for a Senior-Associate Fire Protection Engineer to lead fire protection design on landmark projects across commercial, residential, health and education developments. The role offers autonomy to manage projects and mentor junior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead fire protection design from concept to completion, including sprinkler systems, hydrants, smoke control and fire strategy
- Coordinate with architects, builders and other engineering disciplines to deliver compliant, sustainable and practical solutions
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Ensure all designs meet relevant Australian standards, codes and regulations
Required profile
- 7+ years' experience in fire protection or building services design
- Degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or similar)
- Experience in project management and client liaison
- Chartered (CPEng) status or being working towards it is highly regarded
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
