Senior Approvals Advisor

About the role

The Senior Approvals Advisor will join AECOM's Impact Assessment and Permitting team in Perth, supporting environmental impact assessments, approvals and management for major projects across energy, transport, mining and defence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate environmental impact assessments, approval documentation, constraints assessments and environmental management plans.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to identify and mitigate environmental risks throughout project planning, design and delivery.
• Engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders to achieve clear and timely project outcomes.
• Coordinate project resources, programmes, budgets and deliverables appropriate to experience level.
• Contribute to proposals, client relationships and the growth of the Impact Assessment and Permitting practice.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in environmental impact assessment, approvals or planning.
• Knowledge of WA State and/or Commonwealth environmental assessment and approvals processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in environmental science, management, planning or related discipline.

Required skills

• Experience preparing clear, accurate and well‑structured environmental reports and approval documentation.
• Ability to contribute to or manage projects within consulting, government or industry environments.
