Senior Analyst – Private Tax

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Private Tax team in Melbourne, working on complex domestic and international tax transactions for some of Australia’s largest privately owned businesses and family offices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist partners, directors and managers with day‑to‑day income tax affairs of a broad range of clients.
• Provide complex income tax compliance, advice on structuring, restructuring, asset protection, estate and succession planning.
• Handle tax controversy, governance, and cross‑border transactions including Australian inbound and outbound investments across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
• Deliver high‑quality, value‑adding work on corporate and international tax transactions, M&A and restructures.

Required profile

• Degree in Commerce and/or Law.
• Completed or near‑completion of CA qualifications or Graduate Diploma of Taxation.
• 3.5+ years’ experience in a professional services environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and a self‑starter attitude.

Required skills

• Expertise in income tax matters for complex corporate structures.
• Ability to advise on tax efficiency, asset protection and estate planning.
• Experience with cross‑border tax issues and international investment structures.
