Senior Analyst - Control Assurance

About the role

Deloitte's Control Assurance team is hiring a Senior Analyst to help Australian organisations strengthen IT governance, technology risk and control environments. The role sits within IT internal audit, technology risk and control assurance, and involves assessing governance and control environments, identifying gaps and shaping practical recommendations for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Work across IT internal audit, technology risk and control assurance engagements
• Assess governance and control environments, identify gaps and recommend practical actions
• Support framework uplift, assurance reviews and risk-focused insights
• Test technology controls, review operating models and turn findings into clear reports
• Collaborate with experienced leaders, build client relationships and contribute to proposals and growth opportunities

Required profile

• Experience in IT internal audit, technology risk, advisory or consulting, including ownership of engagements or workstreams
• Experience delivering technology assurance work in professional services
• Ability to turn technical concepts into clear messages for non-technical stakeholders
• Commercial awareness and ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal teams

Required skills

• Designing, assessing or testing technology controls in internal audit, assurance or external audit environments
• Preparing high-quality reports, proposals and presentations for clients and senior stakeholders
• Familiarity with ASAE 3150, SOC 1 and SOC 2 viewed favourably
• Certifications such as CISA, CISM or CISSP are advantageous; exposure to APRA prudential standards (CPS 234, CPS 230, CPG 235) is nice to have
