Senior Airline Field Service Engineer – Commercial Field Service

About the role

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Airline Field Service Engineer to act as the trusted on‑site technical representative for commercial airline customers. The role combines technical leadership, mentorship and strategic influence across the remote Commercial Field Service organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead programs and provide technical direction for operation, inspection, maintenance and repair of assigned jet‑engine product lines.
• Mentor and coach other Field Service Engineers, fostering continuous improvement and field service standards.
• Guide commercial field service policy, process and strategy to improve reliability and maintenance planning.
• Track on‑wing performance, engine removals, delays and cancellations, and influence airline stakeholders to implement reliability improvements.
• Produce data analytics and reports on fleet status, program updates and trends for internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace field service, airline operations, maintenance planning or related aviation propulsion roles.
• Ability to travel interstate and overseas and work across multiple time zones.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
