Senior Advisor – Business & Tax Advisory (Asian Business Practice)

About the role

KPMG is seeking a Senior Advisor to join its Asian Business Practice, supporting China‑connected clients with tax and business advisory services across Australia and China.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tax and business advisory services for private businesses, family groups and foreign‑invested enterprises with China links.
• Prepare tax returns, financial statements, tax provisions and other compliance obligations.
• Conduct technical research on Australian tax and cross‑border matters and draft advice.
• Coordinate engagement activities, monitor deadlines and maintain project documentation.
• Collaborate with specialists across KPMG Australia, China and the global network.
• Contribute to proposals, presentations and business development materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tax advisory, business services or professional services.
• Sound understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements.
• Exposure to international tax, cross‑border business matters or China‑related engagements is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to build effective relationships.
• Completed or near‑completed CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation.
• Experience preparing client work within agreed timeframes.
